DYLAN COPPOLA is a young queer multi-disciplinary artist from New York with a focus on eco-media sculpture. They were born in Queens, NY, but now work and reside in Wantagh, Long Island. They graduated Magna cum laude from Adelphi University in 2019 with a BFA in Studio Arts. They were the winner of the 2019 A. Conger Goodyear Award and the Eileen Kaminksy Foundation Residency Award for the Fall 2019 program at the Mana Contemporary Museum of Art in Jersey City, NJ. This deeply personal sculpture series was developed pre-pandemic, and explores themes of loss, vulnerability, identity, and existenstialism, featuring the artist’s own clothing and soil from their home arranged in evocative compositions on wood panel.
